Tall order! Lady Gaga totters on killer heels and slips into fishnets for Starbucks stop

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Standing out: Lady Gaga arrived at a Starbucks in Los Angeles today wearing a customary outrageous outfit

Naturally, a stop at a coffee shop demands nothing short of full on costume for Lady Gaga.

The 25-year-old singer turned heads as she paid a visit to a local Starbucks in Los Angeles today, clad in a customary outlandish outfit.

Never one to miss an opportunity for self-promotion, the star was wearing a Born This Way T-shirt - which also acted as a kind of skirt.

Walking tall: The singer, who stormed to to the top of the UK album charts yesterday, wore fishnets and sky high Christian Louboutin heels

She completed the look with sky high Christian Louboutin heels, black fishnet tights, a gold studded jacket and a standout red hat.

The singer has currently on a promotional blitz promoting her new album, which rocketed to the top of the UK charts yesterday selling more copies than the rest of the Top 10 put together.

With more than 215,000 records sold in the first week, her gravity-defying second album was the biggest mover for an album so far this year, the Official Charts Company said.

Standing out: She topped off the look with a Lady Gaga Born This Way T-shirt, sunglasses and a gold studded jacket

Famed for her eye-catching, sometimes outrageous, outfits, she said: 'I feel so honoured to have the highest first week sales in the UK this year.

'I wrote the album's first single Born This Way in Manchester because I was so inspired by the confidence and bravery characteristic of my fans: Little Monsters,' she said.

Meanwhile, in the States, the star is poised to sell over one million copies of the LP in it opening week, Billboard has predicted.

She was initially set to move around 800,000 copies, but an Amazon offer that saw it sold for 99cents for two days has helped to send it over the 1.15m mark.

Now Lady Gaga 'gives birth' on stage: Outrageous singer releases gold liquid

By MARCUS BARNES

Another Gaga stunt: Lady Gaga donned a fake baby bump, rested her feet in stirrups and 'gave birth' to gold liquid as she sang hit Born This Way on Saturday Night Live

She's covered herself with blood, emerged from an egg and danced around with a crucifix on her crotch.

And now Lady Gaga can add giving birth to her growing list of outrageous stage show stunts.

With a false belly attached to her midriff, the singer placed her legs in a pair of stirrups and proceeded to secrete gold liquid during a performance on U.S. show Saturday Night Live.

Controversial: The singer is never one to shy away from outrageous stunts - this the latest in a long line of bizarre performances

The 25-year-old singer began her performance by emerging from a pod, emblazoned with the name Beluga Gagaviar No1 - a reference to the famous, and very expensive, brand of caviar.

Wearing a pair of PVC trousers and a cropped PVC blazer, which exposed her ultra-flat midriff, she launched into a typically energetic performance, singing all the vocals live as usual.

Towards the end of the song her dancers surrounded her and, when she emerged from the scrum Gaga had acquired a huge bump.

She immediately headed from a mock hospital bed to the side of the stage where her dancers helped into a pair of stirrups, and she subsequently 'gave birth' to a gold liquid.

The performance was part of Saturday Night Live's closing show which was hosted by singer Justin Timberlake.

Eccentric: Gaga's influence spread to the set of the show which was covered with gold and black stripes to match the outfits of her dancers and herself

Plenty of bottle: Gaga joined in the fun throughout the show dressing up as a wine bottle in this Liquorville with host Justin Timberlake

Gaga also performed her songs Edge Of Glory and Judas during the show, as well as joining in with the comedy sketches.

she was the female element in a song about threesomes performed by Timberlake and comedian Adam Samberg.

The hilarious song, which included the chorus 'It's okay when it's in a three-way, it's not gay when it's in a three-way. With some honey in the middle there's some leeway, the area's grey in a one, two, three-way.'

Surprise: Timberlake and Samberg end up in bed together without Gaga in the amusing video

The singer kept a straight face throughout the song, which sees Timberlake and Samberg end up in bed together without her.

In another scene she put a huge cork on her head, with a dress covered in grapes and a huge wine glass on each of her arms in Timberlake's Liquorville sketch.

Appeal: Gaga asked fans to send in videos for the advert and editors were inundated with material

Fans responded within minutes and uploaded hundreds more videos.

As the videos streamed in, editors worked on the video in real time dropping in new footage as it was received.

The film was completed four days ago, just in time for Gaga's performance on yesterday's season finale of Saturday Night Live.

Lady Gaga Trips On Stage In Atlanta

Lady Gaga took a tumble during a live performance in Atlanta last night (20th April 2011). Lady Gaga was singing her hit track 'Poker Face' when she suddenly tripped over her jacket and fell flat on the stage, reports the UK's Daily Mail.

The 25-year-old was performing an energetic rendition of the song before throwing her jacket onto the floor. As she continued her routine, she mistakenly stepped on the piece of clothing and was sent tumbling to the ground. A minder at the side of the stage immediately removed the jacket and Gaga regained her footing and joined her dancers for a choreographed routine. It marks Lady Gaga's second tumble in as many weeks. During a show in Houston on 10th April 2011, she jumped off her piano wearing towering heels. As she leapt off the instrument, her heel accidently caught the stool and she fell flat on her back. Gaga hit the headlines earlier this week after she apologised for using an offensive term during an interview with Nme magazine. The singer had called allegations that she had plagiarised a Madonna song as "retarded", adding, "What a completely ridiculous thing to even question me about".

Lady Gaga is currently midway through her tour of the U.S. and Canada. Her second studio album 'Born This Way' is set to be released on May 23rd, 2011.
