Has Liz Hurley given Shane Warne a metrosexual makeover? Cricketer shows off his toned figure after losing 22 pounds

By Emily Sheridan

The couple who models together... Shane Warne and girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley models T-shirts from his Spinner fashion range in Mumbai

Elizabeth Hurley has maintained her stunning figure with a wide array of controversial diets over the years.

But after new boyfriend Shane Warne revealed he's lost 22 pounds over the past few months, fans are wondering if his model girlfriend has influenced his diet.

The Australian cricketer showed off his slimmed down physique in a tight T-shirt today as he launched his clothing line in Mumbai, India.

What a difference: Warne is looking toned and sculpted compared to his heavier frame last year (right)

Standing next to svelte Hurley, 45, in tops from his Spinners range, there was no denying Warne looked better than he has done in years.

Although Warne's manager insisted his new slimline look was down to a health kick of his own decision, many have noticed the sportsman's more coiffed appearance in recent months.

His manager James Erskine laughed off speculation that diet-conscious Hurley had influenced her boyfriend, insisting the 42-year-old was simply getting fitter so he could match his twentysomething teammates in the Rajasthan Royals.

Erskine said: 'He has been on a real fitness campaign since about eight weeks before he went to India.

Keeping up with young ones: Warne's manager said he has lost weight so he was able to compete with his twentysomething teammates

'When you are 42 and you're competing against a team of young 20-year-olds, you have to be fit.'

'His weight normally fluctuates but he is in unbelievable form at the moment. I was with him a couple of weeks ago and he said he was down to 82kg (12st 9lbs).'

Apparently Warne shifted the pounds after cutting down fatty food and alcohol in his diet, drinking more water and shakes and his new routine of daily runs and workouts.

Hurley upset dieticians last year when she admitted she skipped breakfast, Tweeting: 'Mugs of hot water first thing, maybe an espresso and a few oat cakes mid morning.'

Mr Metrosexual: Warne and Hurley attended a party at Shilpa Shetty's house on Wednesday night

She also was said to have followed a cabbage soup diet to lose her baby weight following the birth of son Damien in 2001.

With his poker playing and past reputation for womanising, Warne has always been known as a 'man's man'.

But the Rajasthan Royals captain revealed on Twitter last month, he was started to spend more time on his appearance and had no qualms about admitting to using Estee Lauder moisturiser - the beauty firm which Hurley models for.

He Tweeted: 'Questions re facelift / Botox etc - are absolute rubbish - I am 86kg - lost 7kg and are close to being the fittest I have ever been.

'I am also eating very healthily and am flattered that people think I look younger - I have worked hard over the last 5 months on fitness and lifestyle - it's far from a quick fix - fitness and being healthy is now a daily habit - I feel great and never been happier in my life.

Trim and toned: Warne arriving for a cricket meeting in Mumbai on Tuesday

'As I said seems hardwork paid off - thanks for all the compliments re looking younger - will keep up my daily routine - big game v KKR tmrw.

'Yes had teeth whitened (18 months ago) - new Estee lauder moisturiser for my skin have made a big difference too - Yes I'm still a man hahaha.'

Warne's launch came after he and Hurley were the guests of honour at a party thrown by Rajasthan Royals owner Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra.

Shetty has been subjected to rumours she is pregnant with her first child in recent weeks so she took to Twitter to decry them.

She wrote today: 'Sick and tired of all the congratulatory msgs and calls,so for the last time "I AM NOT PREGNANT".all this is so annoying..grrrrrrrrr.'

Meanwhile, Hurley has also been working on her Elizabeth Hurley Beach collection.

She Tweeted today: ':In Bombay, finishing work on sampling 2012 kaftans for my collection. All looking gorgeous. Best fabrics in India & best embroidery.'

Hurley and Warne have been dating on and since at least December, when she was forced to go public about her split from estranged husband Arun Nayar after she was photographed kissing the cricketer.

The Estee Lauder spokesmodel insisted she and Nayar, 46, had separated months earlier, but her husband was said to be upset by the photos.

Hurley and Warne were first linked last July after the model was photographed chatting to the Australian at the Glorious Goodwood Festival.

She's one of the world's most beautiful stars... so why does Katherine Heigl insist on dressing like a middle-aged woman?

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Lamb-dressed-as-mutton: Katherine Heigl, pictured in LA today with husband Josh Kelley, seems to favour a rather middle-aged style for her off-duty look, often sporting a mostly grey or beige palette

She's a knockout on film, stunning on the red carpet and is widely considered to be one of the world's most beautiful women.

But recent pictures of Katherine Heigl in real life have shown her looking rather less youthful than the screen siren we are so familiar with.

Though she has flawless skin and a face and body most other women would kill for, the 32-year-old star appears to have a penchant for a somewhat middle-aged style.

Old before her time: Ms Heigl on Tuesday last week (left), on Sunday (centre) and last month (right) is just 32, but she looks like she has raided her mother's wardrobe

Beige seems to be her go-to colour with sensible shirts and belted trousers forming the core of her wardrobe.

An despite the sunny climes of LA where she lives with her husband and adopted daughter Naleigh, she always covers up in drapey shapes, jackets and boots.

Of course, no-one could accuse Ms Heigl of committing any fashion sins. She plays it far too safe for that - but given the means at her disposal, she could have a lot more fun with her off-duty look.

Understated: The actress, pictured in March at a restaurant in Los Feliz, often wears shapeless grey garments

Making the effort: It seems the star can look fabulous when she wants to, such as on the red carpet at the Oscars in 2008 (left) and at last year's Country Music Awards (right)

Fashion writer and stylist Siam Goorwich told MailOnline that the star has no excuse not to make more effort.

She said: 'It's beyond me how anyone in Hollywood can fail to look good.

'Make love to that microphone': Lady Gaga pushes American Idol contestants to their theatrical best

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Theatrical: Lady Gaga tutored the four remaining American Idol contestants, advising them to add a touch of theatre to their performance

Lady Gaga is not known for her restrained approach to performing - whether it be emerging from an egg or dousing herself with blood onstage.

So perhaps she was just what American Idol needed to liven it up as the final four contestants performed last night.

The eccentric pop superstar pushed the Fox singing competition's finalists to add theatrics to their renditions of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller songs.

Intimidating? Gaga tutors the religious country singer Scotty McCreery, who kissed his crucifix when she told him to act like the microphone was his girlfriend

Her advice that Scotty McCreery should pretend that the microphone is his girlfriend prompted the deep-voiced 17-year-old country crooner to kiss the cross around his neck.

'You've got to get right in the center of that hot dog,' she advised the conservative singer.

Ready for super stardom: McCreery received plaudits from the judges for his performance

Lady Gaga's steamy direction didn't seem to deter McCreery, who impressed the judges with both his rollicking take on The Coasters' Young Blood and heartfelt rendition of Alan Jackson's Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning) during the beginning of Wednesday's episode when the finalists were tasked with performing inspirational tunes.

'You're ready for superstardom, and I hope you make it,' Randy Jackson told McCreery afterward.

Popular: The singer has the audience on their feet

Lauren Alaina also seemed poised for greatness with her inspirational ballad of Martina McBride's Anyway, but she wasn't ready to proclaim that she was 'evil,' as noted in the lyrics to Elvis Presley's Trouble, until she received some motivation from Lady Gaga, who directed the 16-year-old singer to sing the ditty in character.

'When I was 16, I was way too weird to be on American Idol,' Lady Gaga admitted.
The result was apparently delicious, with Steven Tyler noting that Alaina 'delivers a song like a blue plate special.'

Intense: Gaga stares at Lauren Alaina as she performs her version of Elvis' Trouble

What an outfit: Lauren Alaina and the other contestants performed songs by writers Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller

Haley Reinhart, 20, wasn't quite as yummy.

The judges bickered about her interpretation of Michael Jackson's Earth Song.
Tyler was a fan, but Jackson and Jennifer Lopez didn't eat it up.

'I felt like you were just screaming,' Jackson said over a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Reinhart returned with a vengeance - and a string orchestra - with Ben E King's I (Who Have Nothing).

Taking her advice: Gaga tutors Hayley Reinhart, who then had her stand-out performance of the season

Two different sides: Hayley sang 'Earth Song' by Michael Jackson then Ben E King's I (Who Have Nothing)

Lady Gaga directed her to let out a dramatic exhale in the middle of the song.

The judges were floored. Jackson dubbed it 'her moment' of the night, and Tyler informed her that she 'just Reinharted yourself into the middle of next week.'

'That was amazing,' said Lopez. 'One of the best performances of the year.'

James Durbin, the wailing 22-year-old rocker, opened the show clad in tails with Journey's Don't Stop Believin' and closed it down with a metal-tinged take on The Clovers' Love Potion No 9.

Getting into it: Gaga and James Durbin share a love of performance

Hands on: Gaga shows James how to move

Jackson, who formerly played bass with Journey, said Durbin was 'paying homage to my friends,' and Tyler attested that he 'did it right.'

'You can sing anything,' Lopez told Durbin after Love Potion No. 9.
One of the four finalists will be eliminated tomorrow night.

The final four: The judges look on as their contestants line up with host Ryan Seacrest

Angelina Jolie confirms new tattoo is a tribute to Brad Pitt as she arrives in Cannes

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Tribute: Angelina Jolie, pictured at a photocall for Kung Fu Panda 2 in Cannes today, has confirmed her latest tattoo is an ode to partner Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie has finally put an end to mounting speculation relating to her latest latitude and longitude arm tattoo.

When asked about the new etching in an interview with Extra today, the obviously annoyed mother-of-six confirmed that the co-ordinates are a tribute to long-time partner Brad Pitt.

In a rather snappy retort, the 35-year-old was irritated when an interviewer asked whether it related to a possible new adoption.

C'est chic: Angelina looked happier in Cannes today than when she was asked about the tattoo during a serious interview to promote her work as a UN ambassador

'Well, if they know that it's latitude and longitude they would have figured out quickly that it was Brad's birthplace,' she snapped.

'It doesn't take much investigation to figure that one out. The coordinates are Shawnee, Oklahoma.'

In the interview, conducted at the Cannes Film Festival, where the actress is currently promoting her new movie Kung Fu Panda 2, Angelina also ruled out another adoption in the near future, saying it wasn't a possibility, 'at this time'.

Needled: She confirmed that the ink, first seen here when she toured a Tunisian refugee camp last month, are the coordinates for Pitt's birth place

She also explained that Kung Fu Panda 2 'deals with family and adoption,' and that initially she was nervous about how her mix of biological and adopted children would deal with 'such a heavy issue'.

But she said she was relieved with their reaction to the film and said they all discussed it.

'The kids loved it!' They laughed out loud, hysterical,' she said.

Tribute: Another line of the latitude and longitude representing Shawnee, Oklahoma, Brad's place of birth have been added to Angelina's arm, left, and, seen right in December, with just six lines before for the children's birthplaces

'We talk very openly in our house. Orphanage and birth parents are happy words in our house.'

Speculation ran rife about Angelina's seventh line of co-ordinates signifying the birthplaces of her six children, added as recently as a few months ago.

In photos, the full co-ordinates could not clearly be made out, and the inking led to speculation - raising the question whether The Tourist star had another adoption in the process.

Celebrity website Wonderwall asserted that the latest one, based on the numbers that can be made out, points to Algeria.

Playful: The actress said her brood 'loved' the film and 'laughed out loud, hysterical'

Family film: Kung Fu Panda 2 'deals with family and adoption,' said Angelina, pictured with co-stars Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman

However, in February the actress denied reports she was planning to expand her brood.
Other reports suggested the numerics referred to the latitude and longitude of Brad's birth place.

U.S. publication In Touch claimed to have inside knowledge that the marking was actually a tribute to Brad, 47.

A source revealed: 'She got the seventh line right around the time she and Brad moved the kids back to LA.

World famous: Angelina Jolie and Jack Black are at the Cannes Film Festival promoting the sequel to their film Kung Fu Panda

'After dragging their kids around the world, Angelina has finally agreed to Brad’s long-standing request to settle down.

'But in return, she demanded a permanent commitment — the tattoo, which signifies family unity.'

The artwork was first seen when Jolie toured a refugee camp last month on the Tunisian-Libyan border.

She was there in her capacity as a UN goodwill ambassador to appeal for aid for the thousands fleeing war-torn Libya.

Family day out: Brad and Angelina took their brood of six out in New Orleans in March, from left Vivienne, Shiloh, Knox, Zahara, Pax and Maddox

The Oscar-winning actress was pictured on the red carpet in December at the Spanish premiere of The Tourist with just six lines of co-ordinates.

Each one refers to the respective birthplaces of her children - Maddox, aged nine (Cambodia), Pax, seven (Vietnam), Zahara, six (Ethiopia), Shiloh, four (Namibia), and two-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox (France).

Angelina has around 14 known tattoos. Among them is a Latin proverb, 'quod me nutrit me destruit' meaning 'what nourishes me destroys me' plus a famous quote from Tennessee Williams, 'A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages'.

She also has the title of a song by The Clash, 'Know Your Rights' on the nape of her neck plus a 12in by 8in tiger lower down on her back.

Pippa rage! Motorist who paid the price for telling his girlfriend he preferred the famous Middleton derriere

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Paying the price: It is thought the unlucky driver of this blue Peugeot made the mistake of telling his better half of his admiration for Pippa Middleton's bottom

An unlucky motorist seems to have paid the price for telling his partner she wasn't as attractive as Pippa Middleton.

The driver of this Peugeot 206 was caught on camera driving through Birmingham with 'Is Pippa's Bum Still Better Than Mine???' daubed across the side of it in white spray paint.

Miss Middleton's slim derriere stole the show at the Royal Wedding, with countless Facebook pages in praise of it springing up in the days after she was seen following her sister, Kate, up the aisle as maid of honour.

One such group, the Pippa Middleton Ass Appreciation Society, now boasts 215,950 followers on the social network. By contrast, the most popular fan page with no explicit mention of her behind can only muster 160,598 followers.

It is thought that the unknown driver of this vandalised vehicle made the mistake of telling his better half of his admiration for Miss Middleton's most talked about asset.

The scruffy message was scrawled in bright white letters down the passenger side of the blue car, which was spotted in the Highgate area of the city - much to the delight of nearby residents who revelled in the unfortunate man's misery.

But it is not men as much as women who are buzzing about Miss Middleton's bottom. Particularly the fashion pack, who are as besotted with her enviable figure as they are with her Alexander McQueen dress.

U.S. style blog Fashionista.com published an article entitled In Praise Of Pippa (Especially Her Bum), while fashion blogger Susie Bubble tweeted: 'It has to be said... I’m a tad jels over the pertness of Pip Middleton’s arse…'

Fashion editor and author Derek Blasberg also took to Twitter, writing: 'Unexpected #RoyalWedding facts: Pippa's bum was apparently the center piece of the nuptials.'

Miss Middleton is the Duchess of Cambridge's only sister. They have one younger brother, James, 23, who did the only reading at the wedding ceremony.

She was named Tatler magazine's number one society singleton in 2008, beating Prince William's cousin Princess Eugenie to the title.

She has since become something of a socialite and is known for her love of partying.

In a Daily Mail article earlier this year, writer Plum Sykes said of Miss Middleton: 'Pippa is the luckiest one of all. She gets all the right sort of attention from men, fashion designers, hostesses and things, and doesn’t have any of the duties.

'She’s become a Princess without the bad bits.'

Ole! Lady Gaga takes the bull by the horns in matador-style outfit for Cannes performance

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Red flag: Lady Gaga performs at the Cannes Film Festival today for the French chatshow Le Grand Journal

She may be in France for the Cannes Film Festival.

But Lady Gaga opted for a decidedly Spanish theme as performed on French television show Le Grand Journal today in a matador-style ensemble.

The 25-year-old singer was clad in an intricate black and gold outfit, which was sheer from the stomach down.

Fancy footwork: The singer wore a Spanish matador-inspired outfit as she sang her hit tracks before her dedicated fans

She finished off the look with a bright red cape, reminiscent of matador's flag, which was attached to her hair and fastened around her arms.

Earlier she went to a soundcheck, wandering around the stage in black lingerie, tights and studded leather boots.

Gaga had done away with her fox-inspired hairdo, which she was sporting yesterday, and instead was wearing a Cruella De Vil-esque platinum blonde wig with a black fringe.

Revealing outfit: She was joined by an army of scantily-clad backing dancers

The New York-born star is currently promoting her second album, Born This Way, which is set for release later this month.

Next stop on the tour is London, where she is set to perform a secret show this week, ahead of her show at Radio One's Big Weekend in Carlisle on Sunday.

The Born This Way singer has certainly been jetting around of late.

At the weekend, she played the Robin Hood Foundation Annual Gala in New York, just days after performing in Mexico City and jetting to Los Angeles to mentor young hopefuls on American Idol.
