Saint Patrick's day is one of those days of the year where fashion sense goes right out the window. We suspect that once the conventional wisdom took hold that Christmas sweaters are tacky and entire parties were staged around the idea of making fun of them, a bunch of people poured their need for holiday-themed finery into March 17th. Never before has so much green been worn so poorly.
Green's a tough color because depending on the shade and the skin tone of the person wearing it, it can sometimes look really awful on a person. Shelley picked well here. Love the print and the fit on her. We groaned a little at the green earrings, which were totally unnecessary and kind of clash with the green of the dress. Then again, she avoided pinning a broccoli stalk to her chest like the Prime Minister's wife did, so credit where it's due.
