Mkay, see you in a couple hours for the next post!
Oh, fine.
It's a deceptively simple dress. When you get in close, there are lovely seaming details and piping that take it away from being style-less. We wish we could get a picture of her from behind because that high back intrigues us.
The thing is, it gets harder and harder to talk about Halle Berry's style choices because as far as we know, she only has one criterion: "Does it make my body look slamming? Great. Where are my keys?" And hey, if you're Halle Berry or just look like her, it's kind of hard to chastise her for that. Sometimes, when the painting is a masterpiece, it really doesn't matter what the frame looks like. Still, just once we'd like to see her demonstrate some style instincts beyond "I look hot."
Believe it or not, we're not particularly obsessed with celebrities' personal lives, but we understand there's been some ugliness with her latest breakup, plus no matter how hot Halle may be, she's 44 and a woman, which makes her practically unemployable in Hollywood. We get why she has spent the past couple of years flogging the hell out of this one look, but we fear her need to prove her hotness (and thus her viability as an actress) has forced her into a style rut. The same haircut, makeup and dress for years now. Oh sure, she'll break out something unusual or eye-catching every now and then, but it's been spikey hair, subtle makeup and spaghetti straps for a long time. We get it, and we don't even dislike it, but we're a bit tired of it.
