The actress has already revealed that she plays a villain in the prequel, Terminator Salvation, telling an interviewer: 'I kind of play a baddie, definitely a baddie.
'I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but I'm a very bad person.'
Now these images from the film show a robotic Helena with a partially damaged face.
Helena was a late addition to the cast, which includes Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin and Bryce Dallas Howard.
She replaced Tilda Swinton shortly before filming began and worked for ten days on the film.
'Tim [Burton] would have killed me if I hadn't done it, because he's such a Terminator fan,' Helena said, referring to her partner.
Intense: Christian Bale (L) stars as John Connor, who must decide if Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) is from the future or the past
[Planet of the Apes obviously contains a hell of a lot of human slavery themes (humans are enslaved by apes, shots of a little girl in a cage and leash and such are a little off; I feel it consciously invokes modern day human slavery), this is where Tim met Helena and Tim dumped his previous kitten Lisa Marie (not Presley; Lisa was a ballerina as a child and then turned model, had appeared in pedophile ((I will post on this fact at some point)) Woody Allen's 'Alice' and a few other films, Burton and Lisa allegedly bonded over shared UFO sightings).]
'I've been in big movies before, like [Planet Of The] Apes, and Fight Club [MK movie, see In2Worlds excellent work which covers Fight Club in great detail in this article] was big in a different way, and Charlie [And The Chocolate Factory] and Sweeney Todd were big, but I've never been in this kind of big popcorn action movie, a male one, an action one.'
[Edit: Some images of Burton's ex Lisa Marie (thanks to Chris for link to some interesting images including this black/white striped duality one [above, Burton holding an umbrella over her head (symbolic)] + iron maiden artwork one, and posed like a peacock/or wings), obviously suggestive of her kitten programming.]
Purple hair, leopard.
What's with all the big-cat print Burt!? She even played a character called 'Kitty' in the film 'Tail Lights Fade' (with other kittens like Denise Richards playing 'Wendy'; please watch the trailer for usual kitten suggestions, leopard print and such [and the symbolic Trimark logo, a leopard head inside a pyramid at the start]).
She played Vampira in Ed Wood. Jeff Goldblum has used this Kitty it seems in the past few years (judging from these pictures anyway, nothing about it in either of their wikipedia pages or anything).
In Tim Burton's Mars Attacks (remember she's probably been through UFO/alien programming) Lisa played a prostitute-looking (she even had to be sown into the outfit; think she played a delta-beta slave [assassin-sex, the aliens sent her in to assassinate the president]), red spiral covered alien... she wasn't dressed up too differently for the premiere! (below image) "Burton seemed to take a perverse thrill in forcing her to endure horrible deaths in his films."(hint hint, link to quote also source for above image), in Sleepy Hollow she is tortured and killed inside an iron maiden (below is Burton's artwork for this I think, in a ritual pose [arms crossed; this is ((including the iron maiden being a sarcophagus [trapping victims in small spaces, coffins, boxes etc is often used in programming])) all very Egyptian]).
The below image comes from her role in Sleepy Hollow where she creates a birdcage illusion, but spinning the disc with a bird on one side and a cage on the other (I think you can see it in the above clip [note the shadow is symbolically positioned over the kids eye]; also note lots of symbolism in Mars Attacks [Lisa walks past the phallic Washington Monument, reflection in the window, her robotic face etc]). When I edit in the birdcage (psychological metaphor for enslavement/living under abuse/programming; a bird trapped in a cage [also would be used in programming]) info from Sweeney Todd it will be clear that Tim Burton knows exactly the meaning behind the birdcage. The above video is actually excellent (includes the iron maiden and lots of symbolic scenes), please watch.
[back to article]
The film is set in post-apocalyptic 2018, with Bale starring as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and the army of Terminators.
Dramatic: Bale [remember his little malfunction (Edit: added in a fully expected split mind poster which recently surfaced), tonnes more on Christian Bale in my Dark Knight post] is fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators
But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered, in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row.
Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past.
As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
As she normally is: Helena with her long-term partner Tim Burton [please see this post for info on Helena's family and her role in Burton's upcoming Alice in Wonderland (more on this soon)]
Helena recently attended the Jameson Empire Magazine Awards (British movie mag), dressed all in black and with a birdcage veil. Speaking of birdcages I wanted to post something on Burton's film 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' which she won the 'Best Actress' award for in the aforementioned Empire Magazine Awards, here's her acceptance speech.
Tim was also there, pictured below in some arrival-party with some young kitten (probably just someone's daughter/cousin or something [let me know if you know] like that and the cat claw is probably coincidental [alternatively she could be a programmed kitten slave, Tim's arm seems to be wrapped around her in a possessive manner; and note her black/white polka dot] image source).
Tim and Helena have two children together, Billy Ray and Nell.
But anyway, I'd recently seen Sweeney Todd on Sky Movies and had been meaning to post on it as it features many relevant themes (check back tomorrow), above we see her depicting cannibalism (think there are two fingers, ears and a nose sticking out of the pies [p-eyes] suggesting the senses) over a checkerboard floor (it's worth noting her pie shop does not have a checkerboard floor, so obviously this must have been added in to the poster with conscious, symbolic intent). I think there is also a reference to killing cats (something about a rival pie shop or something? it's definitely in there anyway, here it is) in the song where Sweeney meets Mrs Lovett in her pie shop.
Johnny Depp (not focusing on him here, plan on doing a post on his movies at some point) plays Benjamin Barker who changes his name to 'Sweeney Todd' upon returning from forced Labor in Australia because his wife (so still as Benjamin Barker) was taken, imprisoned (she goes willingly to a masked party but is drugged, Edit: adding the relevant info/screen caps tomorrow, no time today [7th April] unfortunately) and raped by a powerful/corrupt judge... (check back tomorrow where I'll continue with screen caps [if you've seen the film you'll probably know which scenes I'll be discussing]). Note all the black/white/red in the posters, the blood spatter is probably symbolically positioned and note the lions on his barber's chair.
Depp (as Benjamin Barker) gives a daisy to his baby girl, note the porcelain doll. The corrupt judge lusts after his wife Lucy ('light'/Lucifer), so he sends Benjamin off to forced labor in Australia as mentioned. The below scene shows Lucy alone in their room, more porcelain dolls on show.
Helena Bonham Carter has quite a porcelain doll look about her in this film in particular (with the white makeup and such), we are shown usual symbolism as she is pictured with an owl (above, click).
The Judge's home has demonic statues/gargoyles outside, potentially Djinns or something.
Her drink is of course spiked and she becomes disorientated, collapses on a couch and screams as Judge Turpin rapes her.
Alan Rickman plays the rapist Judge, he will play the part of the Caterpillar in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
Beadle Bamford (the Judge's associate played by Timothy Spall of Enchanted, he will be playing 'Bloodhound' in Burton's Alice in Wonderland [and unsurprisingly another Order of the British Empire member]) wears a horned mask (clearer in video below).
Damask and dark
Nothing there sings
Not even my lark
Larks never will, you know
When theyre captive
Teach me to be more adaptive "
You'll notice the gargoyle/demon statue with wings/a tail/horns (a dog's face? not sure about that) sits on a three-step pyramid.
The character Sweeney arrived on the ship into London with sees Johanna in a window and sings about his longing for her. Note the lion-head knockers (also seen in kitten-programming based movie Taken [comparable as it's about girls tricked and then kidnapped/drugged] and such), twin pillars (Freemasonry), the number of the house is 103 (13) and such.
Mrs. Lovett's Meat-Pie shop's business thrives as Depp murders more people, Carter turns them into pies. Note the bird cage shaped Chinese lanterns (red) and obviously all the bird cages.
Helena pictured with another bird cage (showing she is bird trapped in a cage, metaphorically speaking).
Here we are shown Johnny and Helena in a fractured mirror. [most of these images are worth clicking as they are pretty detailed (more on fractured mirrors when I cover 'The Broken' ((alternate poster)) in a movie post shortly)]
He eventually realizes he's killed his own daughter and his wife (who had not actually poisoned herself but was a beggar on the street). I did not want to spend too much time on this, rewatching it and such so may have missed out some other blatant things.
